Here are just a few of the presenations and speakers that were part of the 2009 Great Outdoor Family Expo...


	TRY SCUBA!! National Aquatic Service will be offering you a chance to try scuba diving at the Great Outdoor Family Expo! With a donation of $5.00, which will go the Watertown Noon Rotary Club, you will get instruction on how to use the equipment and be safe while Scuba diving in our pool. Then you can spend up to 30 minutes underwater splashing around listening to music, playing catch and scooting around with a SeaDoo SeaScooters. So bring your swimsuit and towel and jump in and join the fun! National Aquatic Service, Syracuse is supplying the pool for the "Try SCUBA" program. The pool will be 15' X 25' X 4' and contain approximately 11,000 gals H2O.

	Big Game Scored at the Event Do you have a bear, caribou, moose, elk, pronghorn or other big game that you think might make the official big game records? If so, you'll be glad to know that at the Expo, Kelly Hayes of Code 3 Game Calls will be conducting big game scoring. Hunters may bring in their big game to have them officially scored by a official Safari Club International official scorer and entered into the Safari Club International Record Books. 	North Country Pinewood Derby Cub Scout Pack 37 in Adams, NY announces the North Country Pinewood Derby, sponsored by Geico Insurance, at the Great Outdoor Family Expo in Watertown, NY. Pack 37 invites everyone, scouts and non-scouts, young and old, to enter their pinewood derby cars into the race. Who has the fastest pinewood derby cars in northern and central New York? Come to the Great Outdoor Expo and find out! For those who aren’t familiar with the Pinewood derby, every year, scouts carve race cars out of small blocks of wood, usually pine, and add axles, weight, and paint to race in a pack or troop derby. The kits for these cars can usually be purchased at local craft stores, stores that carry scouting supplies, or can be ordered online at www.scoutstuff.org. The pinewood derby is one of the favorite events of scouting. Most of the fun is building the car!

	Ken Hammel Game Calls Holds Seminars! Ken Hammel is from Altoona, PA and is the owner of Mountain Hollow Game Calls, Inc. He has been hunting for over thirty years and has spent many hours in the woods learning the ways of the Wild Turkey and Deer. He has harvested many Gobblers in his lifetime in over fifteen states and Canadian provinces, and is very thankful for the game he has taken. He will share many hunting tips and some of his own experiences with you. He will show you how to call in that big Tom and demonstrate the right way to use mouth calls and friction calls. His knowledge on how to rattle in the Big North American Whitetail Deer is second to none. He has rattled, called, and used scents in order to be successful time and time again. Come along and listen to Ken speak on how to help you understand how to rattle in those incredible big whitetails to your tree stand in your neck of the woods. 	Trophy Bucks Scored at the Northeast Big Buck Club Exhibit! Local hunters can bring their trophy bucks to be scored by the Northeast Big Buck Club at their exhibit which features a huge forty-foot wall of trophy bucks from across the Northeast.
